I agree to this trade, I get some scoring and I have enough depth on D to spare Tanabe (I hope). Moran and Leahy are pretty much salary dumps to offset Modins 2.2 million salary.

I need some defensive punch, and I believe Tanabe & Moran will both give me what i need on defense. Pat Leahy will add some depth to the roster, and should challange for a spot throughout training camp & pre-season.

Myself, I had too many depth players and needed a better top six guy, even if he is a UFA in 2 years
