Also, if the host logs into a team, and imputs trades, it would be better for the host to simply restart the server, so folks can log back in . Even better yet, it would be better if someone else imputed the trades, so then, ya would not need to restart .

Restart doesn't seem to do anything at all.
I hope this isn't the case but I might have to 'retire' every GM. All the info will still be there but you'll lose all your news bulletins.

Well... that isn't actually necessary. If you exit the server Hank after putting the GMs on vacation you just need to reload and it is okay.

Well... that isn't actually necessary. If you exit the server Hank after putting the GMs on vacation you just need to reload and it is okay. Well, if there's another way to put everyone on vacation and then reload I'd like to hear it. I've done that, literally, 7 times today and it's still doing the same thing. The only way I can get the game to restore is if I assume control of all the teams I did this morning. And then, when the game does get restored I go into each of those teams and put them on Vacation. In the GM STatus page it will show those teams as being "On Vacation (Watching)" but people are reporting that they can't get into their teams while it's on that status. I don't see the "Kick GM option" and I won't because the software recognises that it's my IP that is controlling those teams. So in effect if I did have that option and chose it, it would mean that it would kick me entirely out of the program. I've even changed my IP address. Still nothing. What's weird is that Boston's GM seems to be the only one that's been able to get in. I think what we need to do is have an outside GM be the designated 'trade guy' to perform the deals. That way, I can go on and kick them out (since they'll have a seperate outside IP). If anyone wants to volunteer let me know. I use Remote Desktop (I can use VNC too if you like) so you can connect to my computer. And even if someone else wanted to host it, I would be fine with that too. I admit that I"m very inexperienced with the in's and out's of this software so I don't want to get people ticked off with my ingnorance towards all things EHM2005.

Don't worry Hank, you're doing a great job. It takes time to get used to EHM server and all its quirks. I am sure there are a couple GMs that can attest to it here. We will do our best to assist you and sort things out as possible. Don't lose patience just yet.
As for the trade problem ... might I suggest that each team be responsible for inputing their trades once they've been accepted on the trade boards... perhaps this fixes both our problems. If they are intially accepted by the trade comittee then it should be okay if they process the trade.
The reason for not allowing GMs to not input their own trade is to remove any possibility of claims saying the trade wasn't legit etc.

No worries Hank, echo Jason's comments completely . It is going to take some time to make sure everything runs smoothly . Also, if a trade person is designated, all the trade person has to do is imput the trades, and log out. The teams then will switch from On Vacation Watching to On Vacation, and folks can log in again . The problem though with each person imputing their own trades is activity. Some GMs will be more active than others, hence some trades may take a longtime to process .
