I'm probably going to be buying a new computer soon so we might be down over the weekend. I don't think that's going to be a very big deal because we probably won't get things rolling until we have more GM's. But I would like to start simming and moving along by next week sometime.
I still haven't determined what days we'll use as sims but if anyone has any suggestions I'm open to them.
Also, since I use Bell my IP will change every Thursday. I will email to all the GM's the new IP each week.
Thanks guys.

Hi. I would agree. I think it would be better to wait to start until we have more GMs. This in mind I think those of us that joined earlier should wait to offer players, Coaches, etc contracts until Hank tells us the league has officially started.
Another thought I had was what if we we started from an earlier starting date than Sept. 1st. giving teams time to get everything in order before they get to training camp.
Just a suggestion.

Yeah, I definately want to get the house in order before we start hiring and firing staff, offering contracts, etc.
I was unaware that you can start from an earlier date. I'll look into doing that. It makes sense.

You just have to select the Finland start date which is i think mid august. That way, you can sign a few Europeen players at the begining.
Do you know how many days a week, which days and stuff like that?

Well, from talking with other people who are in other online leagues it sounds like 4 'fake days' are simmed per real day. And in one of the online leagues they sim every day. So that's 28 'fake EHM days' per week. Other leagues have 4 sim days a week for a total of 16 'fake EHM days' per week.
What would you guys prefer?

For sure, Fridays and Saturdays are out of question for me as most of the time I'm out or playing music in a bar somewhere. My ideal would have been 3 nights per week but I could surely manage 4 or 5 and it would make the game move faster so it would be better for that.
I think having the league updating from 16 to 20 days per week would be great.
What do you guys think?

We should also state somewhere the importance of setting your GM options to the propers settings. To make the flow of the league better we need to be sure not to have your AGM accept any contracts or make any offers.

To make the flow of the league better we need to be sure not to have your AGM accept any contracts or make any offers. Yeah, and maybe it would be good to have the coach do practices and tactics. I know most people (including myself) like to set these themselves, but there are some problems. For practice, I always keep an eye on things daily and make changes. The league is simming 4 EHM games per day, so there might be some problems with injuries and players getting too tired. As for tactics, it would cause problems if a few people use "super tactics" like Red Light and Sonic. People who use these tactics would have an unfair advantage and that would ruin it for other people. Changing lines would be alright because there's no problems or unfair advantages with that. Having these settings would also be more realistic because GMs never set lines and tactics unless they're the head coach as well (like Darryl Sutter).

I am not opposed to GMs setting their own tactics.

I will go with the majority but I think this is hard to enforce and I prefer to set my own tactics.
